Chapter 4: Moon and Fate
Death Frontier
Items: Bandit Shoes, Gladius, Healing Breeze, Healing Fog, Healing Potion, Healing Rain, Moon Serenade, Power Down, Recovery Ball, Sun Rhapsody
This place get become quite frustrating if you don't pay attention to where you are going.
Battles will only occur if you run into the cacti, giant mosquitoes, or big flopping whale like things, so if you pay attention, you do not need to fight anything.
There are also several sand traps, that look like massive whirlpools, that if you fall in, you will appear in a cavern below the area and have to start that section over.
So to start out, go to the bottom right, the bottom left is where you will appear should you fall down a sand pit in the first section.
First large section go down.
Next go right
Next go down three times
Next go right
Next go up
Finally go right
You should be at an area with a spring and save point.
Drink from the spring to get healed.
Now go up
Next go right
Next go up
Next go left
Next go up twice
You should be in another area with a spring and save point
-
Here we are going to get the Bandit's Shoes
Head out left
Next go up twice
Next go right twice
Now fall in the sand pit at the bottom
There is only one way out the cavern
You should appear by the first spring
Head up, right, up, left, up, up like you did before to get to the second spring
-
Now go left
Next go up twice
Next go right
Next go up twice
Finally done, head on out, and to Ulara you go
Ulara
Items: Moon Serenade, Sun Rhapsody
Stardusts: 3
After a scene, Rose will unmask the illusion surrounding Ulara and you can take the portal into it.
There will be a bit of talking, and many questions about Rose will be answered
Follow the path to the top
Now go right at the fork and keep going up
Go to the top left.
Jump on the portal and head inside the building
A long conversation with Charle will start, you will need to ask her every question in order to advance.
When you're done, go back out, and to the right and Rose will catch up to you
Now go out the bottom left
Head straight down to the teleporter there and take it
After the scene, head back out
Go across the bridge to the left and up through the top
Head out to the left
Go through the portal, this is the weapon shop
Now go back up and head for the entrance of town
After this scene, you will be in Charle's house, head back to the entrance of town
A large send off party will be there.
Fletz
Stardusts: 5 (yeah.... remember, same ones as before)
You will be teleported to the Home of the Gigantos (good time to get the Stardust here if you hadn't on your first trip)
There will be some running needed here, but all enemies should be easy now.
Head through the Valley of Corrupted Gravity and the Barrens to Fletz
So you thought you had seen the last of Fletz.
Well you were wrong
Head back to the castle's throne room
The king has build a dock here for you and the Queen's Fury is waiting
Go to the courtyard of the castle
The two doors on the lower levels, which were sealed back in Disc 2 are now open
Go inside, and hop on the boat, it's off to Rouge
Rouge
Items: Satori Vest, Wargod Calling, 100g
Stardust: 1 (if you have gotten all previous, this will be the final Stardust)
When you get off the small boat, you must go see the mayor
Go up to the next level, then down to the right, and up to the highest level, up the ladder in the bottom middle of the area
After the conversation, go down the ladder where you came in
Go out through the bottom
Follow the path to the left and up and around to the training platform, where you will see Aglis
Run back to the town, as you are almost there, there will be a large commotion, head back up to the training area
Had back to the town, and get onto your little boat, the way has cleared
Aglis
Items: Angel's Prayer, Burn Out, Gushing Magma, Healing Breeze, Healing Fog, Healing Rain, Magical Hat, Moon Serenade, Sun Rhapsody
Head on into the city and hop on the first two portals
In the next section, to your right is a locked door for the next city, so keep that in mind
Head out through the top
Hop on the next portal.
The next several portals are straight forward, two portals per platform, the one you came from and the one you need to go on.
When you get to the platform that looks like a Y with a little extension go to the top right section and onto the extension and use that portal
You will meet Savan, who will ask for your help in making the Psychedelic Bomb.
It's extremely simple, each one of your characters need to react properly to the situation they are put in, and their courage will power the bomb.
The Psych Bomb is the most power attacking magic on the game, and if you get everything right, it will be the reusable version as well.
So in order, here is how you need to react
Kongol: Take Doel's Sword
Miranda: Answer "For the world"
-Second Answer "I cannot die now"
Albert: Answer "I cannot do that"
Meru: "I still cannot die"
Haschel: "I couldn't stop her
Rose: N/A
Dart: Answer "I will save Shana, no matter what"
After the test, head on over to the left
Here there will be more options on the platforms that could get you turned around
Just go to the farthest left on on each, and you will be in the next area
Here is where your courage is collected to see if you created the Bomb properly
Head on out through the bottom
This section is easy, just run to the only portals, where Savan is waiting for you by each and into the next area
In this room is the signet, Zieg has beaten you here and released a powerful beast
Boss time
Boss Fight: Last Kraken
He is water based, so use any and all fire based magic you have. Also the Psych Bomb X (if for whatever reason you failed in making it, and only have the Psych Bomb, save it for the game boss) and destroy the Cleones as soon as he summons them, and this guy is pretty straightforward.
You end up failing your task, and Savan dies. Now go back to that locked door at the beginning and go into it. It is a portal to Zenebatos, your next destination
Vellweb (optional)
When you end up in Zenebatos, Coolan will meet you there.
You can use him to fly to any major city you want
Now is a good time to go put to rest those four former Dragoons
Get on Coolan and fly to Deningrad.
From there go through Kashua Glacier and the Snowfield to Vellweb
Go to where you met Shirley before, and go to the top of the screen.
Out here are the seven former Dragoon towers. Rose's Zieg's and Shirley's are deserted and in ruin, but the other four has their occupants in them.
Each Dragoon has the same stat types as the current Dragoon in your party, and they can use all the Dragoon magic, so if you haven't already, you may see some Dragons.
You can come out to the healing spot that Shirley left behind after each battle, so that is helpful.
So going clockwise here's how it goes
The tower directly above you when entering is Rose's
The next tower is Kanzas's
Boss time
Boss Fight: Kanzas
Perhaps the most difficult of the four because he if fairly balanced between physical and magical defense, and has no opposite elements to take advantage of. So keep at him steady and you should be able to come out on top.
The next tower is Belzac's
Boss time
Boss Fight: Belzac
His big weakness is magic attack, but his physical attacks can pack a wallop. Albert's Gapless Magic can work wonders if you have it yet, otherwise hit him with magic, and be careful with your low HP/def characters like Meru and Miranda. (they can still be worth bringing as they have the highest magic attack)
The next tower is Zieg's
The next tower is Damia's
Boss time
Boss Fight: Damia
Pretty much the opposite of Belzac. Low HP, low physical, but high magic. You may not want to even bother with Dragoon form. Just keep beating away at her with your additions, and especially watch Dart's HP
The next tower is Shirley's
The final tower is Syuveil's
Boss time
Boss Fight: Syuveil
Loss magic defense makes this fight not too hard. He can hit pretty hard, but nothing too special. Just take it to him
That's it for the Dragoons.
Flanvel Tower (Faust's Tower) (optional)
Items: Dancer's Ring, Dragon Helm, Holy Ankh, Magical Hat, Therapy Ring
To get here, fly to Deningrad, then go through the Kashua Glacier into Flanvel Tower, where Lloyd stole the Moon Mirror from Queen Theresa
You need to have gotten the Vanishing Stone from Martel in Rouge by having given her all 50 Stardusts.
Once you have the Vanishing Stone, you may want to wait until right before going past the point of no return at the end of Mayfil. (I will make mention of it when we get there)
Anyways, fly over to Deningrad, and head over to the Flanvel Tower through the Kashua Glacier
Once at the top of the tower, before entering the room where the Moon Mirror was kept, there is another portal to your right that leads into Faust's Tower.
An apparition that was blocking the way before will appear, now you can use the Vanishing Stone to make it go away
Go down the portal
The first orb go to the other portal
The second go to the bottom left portal
Next go to the bottom left portal
The next three only have a single other portal
You will be in a room with three portals go through the bottom one
Go to the next portal
Go to the bottom right portal
After the scene go back to the previous portal
Go to the top right portal
Go to the next portal
Go to the right portal
After this scene go back to the previous portal
Go to the left portal
Go to the next portal
Go to the bottom left portal
Go to the next portal
Once in the room again, go to the left portal
Go to the right portal
Go to the next portal
And that's it for portals walk onto the unstable looking middle and fall down to Faust
Really hard boss time
Boss Fight: Faust
Faust is undoubtedly the hardest fight on the game. Even more then the game boss. He is extremely powerful magically, but almost nothing physically. So you will be beating him down with normal and Dragoon attacks. If you can beat him, you get a LOT. 10,000g 20,000exp and a Phantom Shield. So it's definitely worth it to try
Zenebatos
Items: Burning Wave, Down Burst, Flash Hall, Frozen Jet, Gravity Grabber, Night Raid, Rainbow Dress, Spectral Flash, Spirit Cloak
Well back to the main story
Zenebatos is mostly moving around the same areas, it's the Law City, and so the point of being here is changing laws. (one to allow you to the signet sphere, and after that to allow you to Mayfil)
So at the main landing where you enter, go to the portal up one level, and talk to the little guy there. He will tell you you can't go to the signet sphere and why
Now go down the portal and off to the right
Go talk to the next little guy and head over to the Legislative Center
There are only one other portal per platform, however, you will get arrested if caught by the guys floating around, so do some timing and baiting and get into the Center
Once inside, go stand in line and wait your turn like a good child, when it's your turn, say you would like to revise a law
If you are going to just run right through the place, revise law 703 first, otherwise here is a list of laws and what they do in order of what I suggest you change them in (note, you can only change one law at a time, so changing them all does take some time.)
Law# 666-Disables random encounters
Law# 640-No longer need to wait in line
Law# 659-No longer chased and thrown into jail
Law# 339-Allowed to use shops
Law# 703-Allowed to go to the signet sphere
Law# 410-Allowed to go to Mayfil (cannot be done until you have gone to the signet sphere)
Once you get the revision passed by the Legislative, head on out to the Law Factory
Same thing here, only one portal to go to, but you can get arrested
When in the Factory, go talk to the Lapto one the left
Now it's time to go to the Law Launcher
Same thing once again here, go to the next portal, but be careful
After a flight at the Law Launcher, whichever law you submitted will be changed.
Do this with as many laws as desired.
Once you have changed Law 703 head back to the Teleportation Center and go up to the little guy on the top platform that previously told you that you could not go to the signet sphere.
It'll be a little late in getting there, but the law revision will come, and you will get to go
Once you land, go off to the right.
The next room is the judging room
You are found guilty and are to be executed
Boss time
Boss Fight: Kubila,Selebus,Vector
This fight can get difficult, if you spread out your damage too much. Focus on a single target and then move on to the next. Start off with Kubila. He has a 1-hit kill move, and will use it when defeated. Then move on to Selebus. She casts some nasty status stuff and is downright annoying. Finally take out Vector. He is pretty straight forward and easy.
Move on up.
Zieg is here, you are too late, go back, change law 410 and go back to the big portal where you entered from Aglis.
You will now be able to go to Mayfil
Mayfil
Items: Active Ring, Bravery Amulet, Destone Amulet, Down Burst, Flash Hall, Frozen Jet, Halberd, Healing Rain x2, Magic Ego Bell, Panic Guard, Poison Guard, Protector, Spectral Flash, Stun Guard
Head out of the room, and onto the portal.
In the next room is the first of the optional bosses
Each one is one of the three Dragons you have killed.
-
Run into the spirit if you want to fight it
Boss time
Boss Fight: Dragon Spirit, Feyrbrand
Just as easy as the first time you beat him. Just keep pounding away. Save your magic for the next couple of Dragons should you decide to beat them.
-
Continue on and down the portal
Go to the portal to your right and into the next room
-
Run into the spirit if you want to fight it
Boss time
Boss Fight: Dragon Spirit, Regole
A little bit harder then Feyrbrand, but still not all that hard. Use fire magic if you want.
-
Go to the next portal
Go to the portal to the bottom right and into the next room
-
Run into the spirit if you want to fight it
Boss time
Boss Fight: Dragon Spirit, Divine Dragon
They never gave this poor guy a name, but they did the other two. Interesting. Anyways, this guy is definitely worth going all out for. He earns his title as King of Dragons so be careful
-
Go out the room, down the portal, and up the light bridge
In this room, you need to move on the invisible floor
To do so, you need to see where the light hits the floor and turns red
If it passes through, you will fall through the floor when stepping there.
So for the first section go
Up, up, right, right, up, right, up, up, right into the room
Out of the next room go
Left, up, up, left, up, left, up, left, left, up into the room
Out of the final room go
Down, down, left, down, down, down, left, left, up, up, left, and off to the portal
Follow the Lavitz through the portal
Boss time
Boss Fight: Lavitz's Spirit, Zackwell
When Lavitz is facing you, attacks won't hurt him. What you need to do is to get him to turn around by talking to him. They beat the thing off of his back, After you do enough of this, Zackwell will attack. He does some nasty moves, but isn't too hard. However, when he goes into the ground, you cannot hurt him
After the fight, Lavitz will show you the way to the signet.
This is the point of no return.
Once you take the portal he creates, you cannot go back
This is the when you will want to finish Stardusts, and Faust if you haven't done so yet
Head on over to the right once up the light. And get ready for some movies
Divine Tree
Items: Healing Rain, Moon Serenade, Phoenix Plume, Sun Rhapsody, White Silver DS Arnour
Coolon will crash land, and so you are stuck here (I did warn you)
Head on into the Divine Tree
Keep following the path for a few screens, you can stop at the shinies in the water, and Rose will tell you about different species
You will eventually come to a steam shaft that you will jump in.
Begin following the path once again
Along the path, you will run into the caterpillar thing Kongol's landing awoke
Boss time
Boss Fight: Caterpillar, Pupa, Imago
This boss has three stages. Caterpillar and Pupa are extremely easily, with Imago being the final form. Don't worry about using magic on the first two forms, and it will be an easy fight.
Keep following the path, until you hit another steam vent, this will bring you into the Moon
Go to the right, and the inside of the Moon will change
There will be several battles that each of your party members do individually. (except Dart and Rose battle together)
They will not be able to transform during these battles.
I will warn you which battle it coming up next so you can properly equip that party member, should you desire.
Miranda's will be first
Head on over to the right a few scenes.
You will come to some snow and Miranda will run off
Boss time
Boss Fight: Death Rose
Keep attacking the boss. When Miranda's mother asks here to forgive her, do so.
Take the bottom path and you will end up at and inn in Serdio
Haschel's battle will be next
Follow the girl out of the bottom door and then out the bottom on the next screen
Keep going down and exit the bottom right
The girl will be waiting and jump into a small vortex, Haschel will follow
Boss time
Boss Fight: Claire
Claire is easy, except she has a reduce down to 1 hp attack. Heal after this. When given a choice choose to use the Mind's Eye Awaken.
Afterwards, head back to Bale
Kongol's battle is next
Go out through the bottom door
Go through the vortex in the bottom left
Follow the path, until everyone gets knocked off by Rose's dragon
You will then be in control of the party, minus Dart and Rose
Go up the stairs, and then Kongol will wander off
Boss time
Boss Fight: Indora
Indora has extremely weak magic defense. Even having Kongol use the Psych Bomb X will work wonders. Otherwise just keep at him
After the battle, go down the stairs and into the vortex on the left
Dart and Rose's battle will be next
You will be across from where Claire was.
Go up and back to the Serdian city
You will now be controlling Dart and Rose.
Follow the path for several screens, do not go down the stairs to your right, when you pass by them
At the end of the path, you run into Rose's Dragon
Boss time
Boss Fight: Michael
Michael himself is invulnerable. So guard until Rose tells you Michael's weak spot. Once she does, hit Michael's Core, whenever it's open.
Go back to the stairs you had bypassed before.
Albert's battle will be next
Go down the bottom path and you will be at the inn in Serdio again
Go out through the bottom
Go to the gate at the top, and Albert will ask to see Doel
Boss time
Boss Fight: Dark Doel
Take out his two swords first. And then whack Doel silly
Leave the castle and go down to the vortex in the bottom left again
Meru will have the final battle
Follow the path again
The Dragon is gone, so you will be able to make it this time
When you come to the area with the light bridge, Meru will run off
Boss time
Boss Fight: Archangel
Probably the most powerful of the personal battles. Also has an attack that reduces Meru's HP to 1. Although on occasion he does heal Meru as well. Just keep at him.
After the fight, go through the portal in the center
You're inside a big command center like thing.
Keep following the path. (gotta love that in the moon)
After a few screens, there is a save point
Go up through the doorway on the right.
Boss time
Boss Fight: Super Virage
More HP then the one in the Forbidden Land and doesn't have the life counter. Other then that, is isn't too much stronger. It does have the final attack on death still however.
After the fight, it's forward another area with the final save point.
Zieg is waiting
Boss time
Boss Fight: Zieg
He's a fire based Dragoon and nothing more. Except Dart can't transform.
After the fight and a bunch of scenes, attack Melbu Frahma (make sure to have equipped the Dragon Buster if you use Rose)
Final boss time
Boss Fight: Melbu Frahma
Use a couple all magics to take out the tentacles. Keep at him. Take out the bomb stars when they appear. The hardest thing about this fight is his HP. He has a lot of it, so the fight can take some time. He doesn't really do anything that you haven't encountered before, besides changing "seasons" as his HP's get lower.
When you have beaten him. Enjoy the movie, it's the best one yet.
Congratulations you have completed the Legend of Dragoon!
